My evening skin care routine
Hello, and sorry I haven't posted in some time! Life has been quite hectic, and if I'm honest I had no idea for content I would of liked to post, and I didn't want to post half hearted posts just for the sake of it, so I held off for a while and now I am back with a whole new head of ideas for blog posts!
So the one I am going to write about today is my evening skincare routine, all products I use are drugstore products so very easily accessible and reasonably priced. I have used a whole host of products before, and will continue testing different products in the future but for now this is what I have found works best for me.
So to start I remove my makeup with Garniers micellar water, this is a product I absolutely love and don't think I could go back to anything else now! Not only is it great at removing makeup, its a nice soft product that isn't at all tough on the skin yet very effective and even removes all the benefit they're real mascara, which I have found other make up removers struggled with. It leaves your face feeling fresh and is just a really good addition to anybodies night time routine, I go through a lot of this!
After my makeup is removed if I'm having a pamper I will put on a face mask to wear in the bath, but it is rare I get the time to do that! I usually run some fairly warm water and rinse a flannel in it to put onto my face and let it just sit on my skin for a few seconds, this feels so nice and like it's almost steaming your face, I then use a face wash and at the minute I'm using the Simple kind to skin refreshing face wash gel, this works really well for me and my skin feels refreshed after using this, however my skin is less than good right now due to stress and tiredness, so if anyone has any recommendations of products good for spots and red marks do let me know!
Once my face is washed and feeling fresh I apply a tiny bit of bio-oil to any red marks or uneven skin, I then cleanse and moisturise, both of which are from Simples range again. I find Simple works really well with my skin and isn't harsh at all, some other cleansers and washes I have used have made my face burn with it being so sensitive!
At this time of year (and most of the year, pale skin probs) I also apply a bit of fake tan, I'm currently using st Tropezs' face tint, which again is really nice and goes on even and light which I really like.
After this I put on my pj's and go cuddle up in bed to watch a bit of telly or read a few blogs, before visiting the land of nod!
I hope you enjoyed this, let me know if theres anything else you'd like me to post :)
Love
Lauren x
